چکیده

The Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is a well studied logistical problem along with its various variants such as VRP customer Time-Window (VRPTW). However, all the previously assume that vehicles are mostly same in terms of their capacity, location and home (depot). This study uses agent-based approach for solving VRPTW vehicle’s unique depot. to minimise number used main target. Other targets including total distance travelled, waiting time also considered criteria evaluate quality generated vehicle routes. achieved by proposing Messaging Protocol-based Heuristics Optimisation (MPHO) model balances between centrally-distributed agents’ interactions accommodates certain priority rules specifically developed problem. Furthermore, modifications constraints checking techniques introduced implementing Push Forward (PF) recursively tailored route’s start/ending locations calculating reduced find check limit route duration. In order justify superiority proposed MPHO model, numerical tests have been conducted on benchmark problems single multiple depot instances modified made possible randomising vehicles’ capacities depots. Key results reveal that, instances, higher solutions compared previous outcomes obtained minimising fastest solution (CPU) at expense travelled.

capacitated multi-depot vehicle routing problem with inter-depot routes

in this paper, we study the multi-depot vehiclerouting problem with inter-depot routes, in which the vehicles can replenish atintermediate depots. vehicles leave the origin depot with load on-board andserve customers until out of load. they may visit an intermediate depot toreplenish and finally return to the origin depot, completing their route. weinitiate a mathematical mixed integer programm...

An Agent-Based Approach to Vehicle Routing Problem

The paper proposes and validates a new method of solving instances of the vehicle routing problem (VRP). The approach is based on a multiple agent system paradigm. The paper contains the VRP formulation, an overview of the multiple agent environment used and a description of the proposed implementation. The approach is validated experimentally. The experiment plan and the discussion of experime...

Heuristic algorithms for the capacitated location-routing problem and the multi-depot vehicle routing problem

The Capacitated Location-Routing Problem (CLRP) is a NP-hard problem since it generalizes two well known NP-hard problems: the Capacitated Facility Location Problem (CFLP) and the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP). The Multi-Depot Vehicle Routing Problem (MDVRP) is known to be a NP-hard since it is a generalization of the well known Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), arising with one depot...

The Multi-Depot Vehicle Routing Problem with Inter-Depot Routes

This article addresses an extension of the multi-depot vehicle routing problem in which vehicles may be replenished at intermediate depots along their route. It proposes a heuristic combining the adaptative memory principle, a tabu search method for the solution of subproblems, and integer programming. Tests are conducted on randomly generated instances.

Cooperative vehicle routing problem: an opportunity for cost saving

In this paper, a novel methodology is proposed to solve a cooperative multi-depot vehicle routing problem. We establish a mathematical model for multi-owner VRP in which each owner (i.e. player) manages single or multiple depots. The basic idea consists of offering an option that owners cooperatively manage the VRP to save their costs. We present cooperative game theory techniques for cost savi...
